DCCC Chooses Paccione as Red to Blue Candidate

Angie Paccione is one of only eight candidates in the U.S. to be recently selected for the prestigious program.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee today chose State Rep. Angie Paccione for their third and final wave of candidates that have qualified for the Red to Blue program. Red to Blue provides financial and strategic support to the top Democratic campaigns across the country in highly competitive Republican districts.

Paccione is one of only eight chosen in the third wave of candidates receiving the DCCC’s highest recognition for Democratic contenders. She is also one of only two candidates in Colorado to make Red to Blue.

So far, Red to Blue has raised nearly $8.2 million for Democratic candidates across the country, according to the DCCC.

Paccione was chosen because of her success so far in fundraising and her strong desire to bring principled leadership to Congress.

“With less than two months to go, the DCCC is excited to give our top candidates the necessary strategic and financial boost they will need to win in November,” said Congressman Rahm Emanuel, Chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. “Americans are looking for new leadership and a new direction and these Democratic candidates will put middle-class families first when they get to Washington.”

Paccione said she was pleased to have been named a Red to Blue candidate.

“The DCCC knows that this race is winnable, so they’ve chosen to invest their time and money in my campaign. We’re going to win this election with the DCCC’s help,” Paccione said. “What the people get in return is principled leadership that stands up against the special interests and powerful politicians.”
